Details - Inform Alabama

The Alabama Tax Tribunal is, in essence, Alabama’s tax court. Although it is in the executive branch of government, the Tax Tribunal has statewide jurisdiction to hear appeals filed by taxpayers from certain actions taken by Alabama’s state and local tax departments. As an independent state agency, the Tax Tribunal provides taxpayers and tax departments with an impartial and efficient determination of taxpayer appeals, without taxpayers having to appeal first to circuit court.
